Easy to contact and very helpful. The apartment is comfortable, clean & has very good closet space if you want to unpack & hang up your stuff. The location -- close to Central Park and the subway at Columbus Circle was perfect for me. I loved staying here!

Great hosts and very nice people. It was very easy to communicate with them and they were very helpful and super kind both during the reservation process and throughout my one month-stay. I met Ofer on my arrival and he gave me many suggestions on the neighborhood and later he went back to the apartment to fix a very small thing as soon as I asked him. So kind. Their place is a basic apartment, spacious for NYC standard, and with everything you need. The greatest thing is that it is really quiet, especially the bedroom facing on a backyard so there is no noise during the night. The wi-fi works great. The location is just perfect. The 81st street is beautiful, and the neighborhood is very nice, with supermarkets, restaurants, cafés, cleaners services, subway and bus (also crosstown buses). The apartment is only 10 minutes walking from Central Park (so close to the Reservoir, if you like running or walking) as well as from great museums. I would definitely recommend it.

I was actually going to write that you should avoid this place. But that would be a big lie, and only because I want it not to be booked for my next trip to NYC... The truth is that me and my girlfriend had a perfect one month-stay at Karen and Ofer's place! I find it hard to find apartments (or hotels for that matter) this nice and clean in NYC – in this price range anyway. It's located two blocks from the 96th Street Subway station (where the 2 & 3 Express trains takes you to Times Square in about 10 minutes) and three blocks from Central Park. Right across the street there's a 24/7 grocery store (Barzini's) with an excellent cheese and vegetables selection, and there are plenty of nice restaurants nearby. The building has a nice gym and laundry room in the basement, a rooftop with views, and super nice doormen in the lobby. The apartment itself has everything you need, with a fully equipped kitchen (including a dishwasher) and lots of clean towels and sheets. It also comes with a lot of cable channels and Netflix, and the wifi works great. It's suitable for 2 people, even though the sofa bed makes it possible for more. Karen and Ofer are also very easy going and seems to be super nice people. For instance, Ofer offered (...) to help me and call the cable company when I managed to make all the tv-channels but one disappear (pulling out the power cord for a couple of minutes did the trick though). And at check out, I was running late, and wasn't ready when Karen (and the cleaning lady) came to the apartment. But although it sort of messed up their plans (I guess), she had no problems with letting me stay for as long as I needed to get ready. I highly recommend this apartment, and we would absolutely love to stay here again!

We had a great time. It is very cozy, clean and and extremely conveniently located (very close to 96 subway express station). The apartment has everything you need, the rooftop has an amazing view and Ofer (her husband) left useful tips on places in the neighborhood. I highly recommend this place! :)

Christina and I stayed in the apartment for all of April 2014. It is very quiet, the neighbourhood very respectable with everything you need within 3 minutes walk. We spent a lot of time at the Met Museum of Art. The bus that goes there is 3 minutes walk away. The subway is about the same; very convenient. The natural history museum is 10 minutes walk. There is also the best cinema in town 6 minutes away. We live in a rural town; a big superduper cinema is great. The apartment is clean and light; plenty of cable TV; very usable kitchen. The bed is just fine. We would stay again.

Absolutely perfect. I stayed at Keren and Ofer's place as a first stop when moving to NYC. And not only is it a perfect location that's close to the subway, the building is great (the gym is awesome), but the place is really lovely and clean with everything you might need. They were perfect hosts. And Keren even helped me find a permanent place to live in the city within a week and a half of my arrival. That's gotta be some kind of record. Can't recommend this place enough!!!!

First the location of apartment is great. Close to 96 subway express station. 2 stops from times square. The apartment is amazing. Small but you have everything you need. Full equipped kitchen. Large bath. And lots of storing place for everything. The gym in the building was surprising, big and fully equipped. Highly recommended.

We had a great one-month stay at Keren's place in Midtown. It's convenient, clean and well-stocked with the basics. Keren's husband was available to answer all of our questions. We have no complaints. Smooth and friendly experience.

This apartment was in such a great location, surrounded by tons of restaurants and shops. The apartment itself was clean and had everything you would need. Karen was easy to get in touch with if I came across any problems or had any questions. I'd definitely stay there again.

I absolutely loved staying at Karen and Ofer's place! I already miss it! It was perfect for one person, even with the tiny, cute kitchen. Everything is available and accessible in the neighborhood. The hosts were very easy and super quick to get in touch with. This was such a pleasant accommodation, I would absolutely stay there again.

I stayed at Karen and Ofer`s place for 6 weeks in December and January. It was a real pleasure to meet Ofer with whom I was in constant communication since I arrived in New York. He waited for me at the apartment, took my luggage upstairs and showed me everything. Knowing that I was coming from Europe after a long trip, Karen and Ofer thought of buying some water and cookies for me; there was also tea and coffee - which was really a very nice surprise. During my stay Ofer called me a couple of times just to check if everything was all right. When there was a minor problem with electricity, he came over right away to fix it. The place itself is a spacious living room with a bedroom alcove (I`m not sure I would call it one bedroom, though) in an old small building which is quite worn-down but charming. The essential thing is that both the apartment and the building are very clean. Yes, the place would benefit from a major renovation, but then it would probably be much more expensive! The pictures are quite adequate. The place is spotless, there are lots of linen and towels. A big TV + DVD player is a big plus. Wi-fi works like a charm. It`s a place for one or two people, or even for a couple with children; especially for tourists who won`t spend much time cooking (although the small kitchen is quite usable and supplied with all the essentials) and won`t complain that there is not enough sunlight in the apartment. The only window faces the back of the building but it`s a blessing in disguise because you can`t hear the street noise. And the street is very busy. The location of this place is simply fantastic. There`s a subway station nearby, also a crosstown bus, a lot of stores and restaurants (from legendary Zabar`s to all night drug store and Gray`s Papaya where you can get 2 franks + a drink for 5$, 24 hours a day), There`s a close walk to Lincoln Center and cinemas. Central Park is a stone`s throw away. I wouldn`t hesitate for a moment to stay again in Karen and Ofer`s place.

Rented for a full month plus. The other reviews are spot on. This husband and wife team could not be nicer, and truly want you to be happy and be helpful in any way they can. I was met the second I arrived and helped with carrying my stuff. And given a free fruit basket, with chocolate, and large bottle of fancy water. The apartment was exactly as advertised. It was made very clear to me if I needed anything, it would be happily take care of. And got a check in Email to make sure I was 100% happy. Super nice living room, bedroom with view of a courtyard. Location is about as good as it gets. I only write this review with one regret. When I need to rent an apartment in NYC I hope this one will be available!

This was a great place to stay! I took a one-month sublet to work in the city. Karen and her husband were really helpful getting me set up. This is a very nice cozy apartment on the upper west side. Looks exactly like the pictures. Also, it's a great area in terms of restaurants etc, there is a whole foods a few blocks away and a market right in front of the building. A few blocks to central park and to Riverside.

Karen & Ofer were great communicators from the very beginning of our reservation. As we were coming to stay in New York to study for 7 weeks, we were keen to be centrally located and close to everything the city had to offer. Their studio apartment was a great location and so close to Central Park and the theatre district. Karen gave us clear directions and her housekeeper Karima met us at the apartment when we arrived with very clear instructions on how everything worked. Their flat is completed self-contained, great wifi and the shower and bed were great! Thank goodness for the wide selection of stuff to watch on Netflix too. Laundry downstairs in the building with easy access and there is always a polite doorman at reception making you feel very safe. There was some building construction being completed right outside our window that went on for 3 weeks which was quite irritating, but when we informed Karen and Ofer they were very apologetic and even though it was completely out of their control they popped around and dropped off two very lovely bottles of wine for putting up with the constant noise disturbance! Even though the noise factor became increasingly annoying over time, our hosts excellently handled this situation so we were happy to work around this slight inconvenience. Although a little small, this studio is still a great alternative to hotel stays and we would highly recommend anyone wanting to see New York and stay right in the heart of Manhattan. Karen & Ofer were delightful to deal with and we will definitely be back!

I really enjoyed my stay at the apartment. The location was excelent!!! The apartment is bigger then expected (after many stays in New York hotels) and had everything I needed. The building is quiet at night and it is nice to have a doorman and laundry in the basement. There was no problem to get in contact with Karen or Ofer and they tried to fix any problem at once. I would stay in that apartment again, thanks.

Perfect stay. Keren and Ofer were super helpful in accommodating my schedule to pick up the keys (as well as returning the keys after I accidentally took of with one set). Their place was clean and exactly what I was hoping for. As an Airbnb host it was great to see some of the things they do that I could do to make my home more comfortable in the future. In addition, it turns out Keren is a real estate broker and I was looking for an apartment. Keren ended up helping me look for a place to stay so I got to know her even more. I would certainly recommend staying at their place.
